The mission of the office of Professional Development and Career Counseling is multifaceted. It aims to assist students with identifying their interests, abilities and work attitudes. It also guides students in exploring internships and career options most suitable to their individual needs. Professional Development and Career Counseling seeks to prepare students for their careers after KAUST. It not only makes its services available, but encourages involvement from KAUST students at all stages of their university careers, be those careers in research, academics, or industry.​

Programs and Services

Through extensive individual and group career counseling, career workshops, and the coordination and facilitation of career fairs and career days, the office of Professional Development and Career Counseling nurtures the students of the university to develop career management skills that showcase their interests, aptitudes, schooling and other related skills. The office offers career assessments for individuals to understand themselves and others, and to better access the field of available career opportunities. By approaching career placement from many perspectives, Professional Development engenders importance to the idea of career satisfaction, which will better serve the students' lives and careers.
