Moving to KAUST
KAUST supports the relocation of its faculty and staff members as well as their families to its campus. KAUST HR will take care of the needs of all relocating KAUST employees, from the moment they accept an offer until they and their families are safely settled in their new accommodation.
As a new hire, you will be supported by an assigned HR Coordinator, who will make the whole process as smooth as possible. Relocation activities such as processing visa applications, airline bookings, shipping personal effects (for eligible employees), will be coordinated by the HR Coordinator, who will also support any individual needs you may have.
KAUST has set up a dedicated private website where you can check on the status of your move at any time, update your details, post inquiries, or communicate directly with your HR Coordinator.
We look forward to welcoming you to KAUST.
Relocation Allowance
This allowance is stated in your offer for employment and will be paid along with your first paycheck after arriving in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The University wants to help you make a smooth transition to your new home at KAUST. By providing this allowance KAUST hopes to mitigate the costs of relocation, including real estate transactions, storage costs, vehicle sales, visa issuance and other costs associated with starting employment with KAUST.
Relocation Process
The Relocation process is designed to make your move as smooth as possible. Your HR Coordinator will work with you to plan and execute it.
KAUST has set up a dedicated private relocation website where you can check on the status of your move at any time, update your details, post inquiries, or communicate directly with your HR Coordinator.
Your HR Coordinator will send you an access code to KAUST's dedicated private relocation website. The Web site will allow you to check the status of your move, or communicate with your HR Coordinator
After you sign KAUST's offer, you will be assigned a HR Coordinator who will contact you and coordinate your move.
KAUST has selected a world-class network of moving / relocation specialist to arrange for the shipment of your personal effects (for eligible personnel).
Our travel agents will book your travel under the guidance of your HR Coordinator, taking note of any special requirements.
On the appointed date of your travel to KAUST you will be met, on arrival at the terminal, by our dedicated team who will assist you through Immigration and Customs. A KAUST driver will also be assigned to collect you at the airport and take you to your pre-arranged accommodation.
Your HR Coordinator will ensure that you settle into your new home at KAUST and will arrange for the final administrative steps to take place so your family can join you if they are arriving at a later date.
