Biography

Professor Peter Goadsby is a world-leading neurologist and neuroscientist, renowned for his pioneering research into migraine and cluster headaches. His work has transformed the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of primary headache disorders. 
At KAUST, Professor Goadsby serves as Senior Associate to the President and Dean of the Division of Biomedical Sciences, helping advance translational research and fostering collaborations that bridge laboratory discovery with healthcare systems across Saudi Arabia and internationally. 
His appointment highlights KAUST’s commitment to global excellence in science and medicine, while underscoring the Kingdom’s growing international presence in research, healthcare innovation, and the advancement of patient outcomes.

Research Interests

Professor Goadsby’s research spans bench-based to experimental medicine and clinical stage research aimed at understanding primary headache disorders to develop new therapies for these very common and highly disabling diseases.
