Technology on a Mission Terraxy

Growing crops where nothing grows.

Developed by Terraxy  ·  AgriTech · Soil & Circular Economy

The Problem

Saudi soils are ~90% sand — almost nothing grows

Saudi soils are roughly 90% sand, with almost no nutrients or water retention. The usual fix — imported peat moss — is expensive, short-lived and unsustainable, costing the Kingdom on the order of 250 million SAR a year. What's needed is a way to genuinely build soil, not just feed it, while reducing landfill pollution and capturing carbon rather than adding to emissions.

The Solution

Turning organic waste into soil that lasts

Terraxy converts local organic waste streams into Carbosoil, a permanent soil enhancer. Rather than temporarily feeding plants, Carbosoil rebuilds the soil itself — and its fertility lasts for centuries, locking carbon into the ground as it goes. It's a Saudi-made technology for greening, landscaping and food production in arid regions, turning a waste problem into fertile ground.

The Technology

From biomass waste to Carbosoil, at industrial scale

With $3M raised to date, Terraxy developed an industrial-scale, continuous process converting biochar into Carbosoil at 30 tons per day. Greenhouse and field trials show strong plant growth from small Carbosoil additions, and NTI support has unlocked national engagement with MEWA, RDIA and SIDF — accelerating permits, site allocation and commercial readiness to scale from lab to market.
