Yara Al-Angari plays a strategic role in advancing KAUST’s impact across the Kingdom by strengthening partnerships that create value and support long-term national outcomes.

Before joining KAUST, Al-Angari was a senior advisor at the Strategic Management Office at the Council for Economic Development Affairs, where she led the establishment and operationalization of the General Secretariat for the Supreme Committee for Research Development and Innovation. In this role, she led the efforts to co-develop, co-design, and announce the Kingdom’s research, development, and innovation aspirations and priorities, as announced by H.R.H. Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Research, Development, and Innovation.

Al-Angari's background includes working on international research collaborations at the NASA Ames Research Center, serving as an exhibitions researcher at the Science Museum in London, and leading advocacy for the Science 20 Engagement Group during Saudi Arabia's G20 presidency. She co-founded the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution with the World Economic Forum in Saudi Arabia and previously led efforts in innovation policies and strategies at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.

Al-Angari holds a bachelor’s in information technology from King Saud University and a master’s in Science Communication from Imperial College London. Additionally, she has earned executive education certificates from institutions
