يُعد البروفيسور بيتر غوادسبي أحد أبرز أطباء وعلماء الأعصاب عالميًا، واشتهر بأبحاثه الريادية حول الصداع النصفي والصداع العنقودي. وقد أسهمت أعماله في إحداث تحول جوهري في فهم اضطرابات الصداع الأولية وتشخيصها وعلاجها. 

وفي كاوست، يشغل البروفيسور غوادسبي المشارك الأعلى لرئيس الجامعة والعميد المؤسس لقسم العلوم الطبية الحيوية، حيث يسهم في دفع الأبحاث التطبيقية وتعزيز الشراكات التي تربط الاكتشافات العلمية بالأنظمة الصحية داخل المملكة وعلى المستوى الدولي.  

ويعكس تعيينه التزام كاوست بالتميّز العالمي في مجالي العلوم والطب، كما يبرز الحضور الدولي المتنامي للمملكة في البحث العلمي والابتكار الصحي، ودورها المتقدم في تحسين جودة الرعاية الصحية والنتائج العلاجية للمرضى. 

الاهتمامات البحثية

تمتد أبحاث البروفيسور غوادسبي من الدراسات المخبرية الأساسية إلى أبحاث الطب التجريبي والدراسات الطبية السريرية، وتركّز على فهم اضطرابات الصداع الأولية بهدف تطوير علاجات جديدة لهذه الأمراض الشائعة شديدة التأثير على جودة حياة المرضى.
