Research Interests

Stefaan De Wolf's expertise lies in the science and technology of photovoltaics. His research focuses on the fabrication and characterization of high-efficiency solar cells, with specific attention to the fundamental understanding of interface structures and electrical contact formation, relevant to solar cells and electronic devices. Technologies of interest are perovskite and silicon solar cells, in single- and multi-junction form. He is also interested in scaling of photovoltaic technologies and addressing reliability issues, especially those associated with sunny climates.
