INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL

The KAUST International Advisory Council was formed in early 2007 as a developmental body to advise H.E. Ali Ibrahim Al-Naimi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia and KAUST’s chief institutional architect, and the University's leadership during its formative phase.

The IAC had no formal oversight role or responsibility, but met at least twice annually to review plans and provide guidance and feedback to H.E. Minister Al-Naimi and the KAUST leadership on all aspects of KAUST's organization and mission. The IAC held its final meeting in February 2009.
