INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL

His Excellency Ali Ibrahim Al-Naimi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, is being supported in the development of KAUST by an International Advisory Council (IAC) composed of leaders in higher education and science and technology.

The IAC has no formal oversight role or responsibility, but meets at least twice annually, reviews plans, and provides guidance and feedback to Minister Al-Naimi and the interim management team on all aspects of KAUST's organization and research and education mission. The first IAC meeting was held in London in February 2007.

The IAC will support President-designate Shih as an external advisory body. For the latest information and updates on the IAC, please visit the KAUST News section.
