The human body knows how to heal. KAUST researchers are working on helping it do it better.
Invivo is a regenerative medicine technology built on KAUST intellectual property. It uses living cells to repair tissue, reduce inflammation and drive healing from within – rather than managing damage at the surface. The technology is in active proof-of-concept trials. Enabled through KAUST’s National Transformation Institute (NTI), Invivo is advancing from proof-of-concept toward future healthcare application.
If it advances as the science suggests, it could change how medicine approaches tissue repair, post-surgical recovery and healthy ageing – for patients everywhere.
