The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud dreamt of building a new House of Wisdom on the shores of the Red Sea. King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) was established in 2009 as a waqf to provide perpetual support for his new "House of Wisdom".
