The University Executive Committee

The University Executive Committee, which is chaired by President Choon Fong Shih, is responsible for the overall executive management of the University. The Committee assists the President in leading, developing and executing the University's strategic priorities and plans as well as in ensuring the alignment of the University's research, education and economic development programs to fulfill the University's vision and mission.

The Committee's primary responsibilities include reviewing, guiding and approving:

  • the University's strategic priorities and resource allocation as well as related accountability reports;
  • academic and funding frameworks to support and facilitate the integration of research, education and innovation;
  • major University plans, programs and policies, including those pertaining to Finance; Human Resources; Facilities, Community and Municipal Services; Research Park and Innovation Cluster; Communications, Media Relations and Branding; and
  • agreements with other universities, research institutions, or industry partners.
