Commencement Ceremony
Commencement is the University's official ceremony in which degrees are conferred upon graduating students. The word commencement refers to the beginning or start of something. The Commencement ceremony celebrates the beginning of the next phase of the degree candidates' lives.

No. The KAUST Inn will not have rooms available during the Commencement period.
The validation period of the Saudi Arabia Visa is one month from the date it is issued.
The visa application fees will vary by country, type and duration. Please contact the nearest Saudi Arabia Embassy/Consulate in your country for more information.

Yes, they will have to send their original passport to the Embassy/Consulate to obtain the visa.
Degree Requirements
You will find your current GPA in your student portal.
You should consult with your academic advisor and/or your graduate program coordinator to confirm that you will have fulfilled all degree requirements.

Your academic advisor who advised you on your course of study at KAUST and/or your graduate program coordinator can explain the degree and program requirements to you.
No, you have to complete all the degree and program requirements before you are eligible to graduate. If you are not eligible to graduate, you may not take part in the 2011 Commencement.
As long as your cumulative GPA is 3.0 or higher at the end of your studies and you have fulfilled all the requirements for your program, you will be allowed to graduate.
