Academic Regalia
All Graduate candidates participating in the 2011 Commencement ceremony must wear the official University Academic Regalia (Gown, Hood, Cap and Tassel as well as a scarf for ladies upon request).
Ordering Your Academic Regalia
The University will loan academic regalia to you or you may purchase your own regalia. The cost is SAR 1400. It is to be paid in cash, at the Student Information Booth, Student Center (Building 18), from December 3-14, 2011. Additional information on how to purchase regalia will also be available during the fitting sessions.
To order your regalia, please fill out the Commencement form.
The deadline for placing your order for your academic regalia is October 1, 2011. Orders for academic regalia will not be taken after this date.
Fitting Sessions
All candidates are required to attend a fitting session so that the regalia is properly fitted for the Commencement ceremony. If you are currently out-of-Kingdom but will attend Commencement, please notify the Commencement Team (commencement@kaust.edu.sa) as soon as possible to make arrangements to reserve your academic regalia.
The fittings for the academic regalia will occur on the following dates. Please attend the session to your division.

NOTICE:
After the last fitting session on October 1, 2011, it will not be possible to order additional robes; as such, it is essential that you attend a fitting session to be assigned properly-fitting regalia.
The "Make Up" session is intended for emergency cases only; please make every effort to come on your assigned day. Remember, the sooner you come for your fitting, the more choice you will have in robe selection.
Pick-up and Return of Academic Regalia
Pick-up
Your academic regalia can be picked-up in the Engineering Building (Building 9) on the day of Commencement (December 16, 2011). Students are required to pick-up their own academic regalia in person.
Return
The regalia must be returned to the Engineering Building (Building 9) no later than 7:00 p.m. on Commencement day.
Non-return of regalia
If you fail to return your regalia, you will be charged SAR 1400. In addition, the transcript of your academic record will be withheld until the regalia is returned or the payment for the regalia is made.
