A Message from Dr. Mohamed Samaha
On behalf of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), we are pleased to welcome you to the second KAUST Economic Development International Symposium. The KAUST Economic Development team is convening this Symposium to address key topics of global academic, research and commercial interest. Our topic here at the International Supercomputing Conference in Hamburg is "Supercomputing in Science and Engineering: Economic and Technological Opportunities and Challenges". KAUST works to foster an innovation-driven economy for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and this Symposium will offer participants of the International Supercomputing Conference the opportunity to interact with their counterparts in academia and industry, from different countries around the world.
We hope that this Symposium will be a platform for sharing perspectives and engaging in in-depth discussions about models to foster innovative science and engineering research. We are honored to present a panel of distinguished experts from both academia and industry who will share their extensive and diverse expertise and experience with us. In promoting an open and constructive exchange of ideas, we hope that this Symposium will contribute to charting the way forward in planning for research and innovation in Supercomputing, as well as for building ties between Saudi Arabian institutions and leading international academic and industrial centers.
