Shopping, services, support—all easily accessible on campus
KAUST provides a variety of community resources to help students, faculty and staff and their families enjoy active, healthy lives and balance their professional and family commitments
with satisfying leisure and travel opportunities.
The University offers community shuttle bus and taxi services for faculty, staff, students and their families. Complimentary bus service is also offered to nearby
Jeddah and Mecca.
Community and residential services are provided and include:

- local telephone service
The Harbor District commercial center offers all the shopping, service providers and conveniences faculty, staff and students could need, including:
- a grocery store
- a dry cleaner
- a theater with cinemas and a stage for live performances
- a bank
- a travel agent
- a post office
- a beauty salon
- a variety of restaurants, cafes and fine-dining options
The University also provides many resources for family support through the Office of Work/Life Resources.
