Research Interests
Research activities pertain to drinking water and wastewater reclamation treatments:
- Isolation and characterization of Natural Organic Matter (NOM) and Effluent Organic Matter (EfOM)
- Removal of dissolved organic matter by physical chemical treatments (i.e., coagulation and anion exchange)
- Characterization of organic foulant of low and high pressure membranes (river water, desalination, wastewater reclamation)
- Impact of chemical or physical pre-treatments prior to high pressure membrane filtration
- Evaluation of disinfection (chlorination and ozonation) byproducts
